    It was a .WMV file

I was connected to the mac via USB cable.

I was using a Mac / Firefox - and just made the folder in the BB marked 'video' the destination for the download.

I did have to reboot the the BB to get the video to show up.

(+ I got a phantom email in my in box as a result but that is a bug I am used to with the 8900 - hopefully an OS upgrade will cure that)

I suppose uploading a video via the PC desktop and Roxio media manager would optimize it better?

    Or not?

Anyhow this seems to have worked fine..

I wish the bb media player was able to play more video formats. I just tried to load a .wmv file and it would not play it. I know I can convert the videos, but I already have a .wmv and a .mp4 copy of them already.

My new 8900 seems to be able to do it. As I said I am downloading from my Macintosh laptop (via a USB cable) straight to the BB's 'video folder

UPDATE Hmm seems that the videos 'time out' and stop working... I still have a lot working. I will report back.
