I have been doing a lot of reserch on getting a new laptop and I think I am going with a macbook. My only concern is the difficulty of of syncing up my blackberry. My question is this-if I put windows xp or vista on the macbook via boot camp am I able to use the blackberry desktop software if I start the mac in windows mode?

Yes that will work however all of your contact/calendar data will be located in the Windows side of your Mac--not accessible by your Mac applications.

There is a free application from RIM for Mac users called PocketMac. I use it with my MacBook Pro and have no problems with it.

PocketMac is limited in its functions and is definitely no comparison to the Desktop Manager. I have VMware Fusion installed on my Mac so that I can also have the benefits of the DM that I use for backing up and upgrading the OS. You will be able to to this with BootCamp.
