I am trying to restore data from a full backup file created on a Mac

So far I have found that:

    1. restore from a legacy device is not an option offered on the Mac version of BlackBerry Link
    2. if I were to move my Mac generated backup file .bbb to a PC and use BlackBerry Link it is still not recognised

Can anyone shed light on this situation?

Details: Bold 9900 stolen - only the backup file is available
    MacBook Pro 10.8.4
    BlackBerry Link 1.1.1.13
    BlackBerry Q10

I am pretty sure you are unable to restore a legacy device with BB Link but you can with Desktop Manager. Can't confirm this since my mac is at home..

I have the same issue as you.

I saved my 9900 final backup using Blackberry Desktop Manager on a Mac.

Connected my new Q10 to Blackberry Link on this Mac and it cannot restore legacy backup files.

Tried transferring my 9900 backup (which was done on a Mac) to my Windows 7, fired up Blackberry Link on Windows 7, and apparently it does not recognize the Mac version of the Blackberry Desktop Manager backup file.
