I imagine that you are running Leopard, or OS X 10.5. If you are, then you need to download the PocketMac driver update, which can be found at the same place that you downloaded PocketMac. Also, I have found that Spotlight will cause my BlackBerry to restart. Disable Spotlight indexing after you have installed the driver update by going to System Preferences...Spotlight...Privacy ...and click the plus sign. Your Blackberry must be mounted in order to exclude it.

If it restarts when it is plugged in, how can it be mounted to exclude it? I've tried to exclude it via Spotlight, but it never shows up as being mounted before it restarts.

Did you install the driver update? Does it mount at all? For me, it would mount for 5 seconds before crashing so I had to exclude it quickly.
