OK go to you macs harddrive to.
system -> Library -> Extentions and delete BlackberryUSB.kext and BlackberryUSBDev.kext

then download the driver update on the pocketmac section of the blackberry site. The download is in the same screen as the download link for pocketmac it self. Install the updated drivers, restart and you should be golden.

Thank you Northmendo! I had already installed and uninstalled both pocketmac and the updated drivers with no result. I tried it the way you listed and it works like a charm! I guess us mac folks aren't used to doing the tweaking the windows people are anymore!

try and download the updated drivers on RIM's website.

    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do

select the PocketMac app, and then click next. There is a link to the updated drivers below PocketMac app link.

mine didn't work because I stupidly thought that it was syncing through bluetooth. well, i was wrong... make sure your curve is connected to your mac via a USb cable.

    I am computer literate.
I have tried everything on both web sites of installing the drivers and my brand new verizon curve simply won't connect...

OK, now it works. I didn't do any further installations. Just quit the program and re-started again. Didn't reboot. Bizarre. Quirky. But keep trying if this same thing happens to you.
