    blackberry desktop manager for mac, yes.
    but the os 5 files here in the forum are .exe and i can't open it with mac..

    You could try, but you'd possibly end up with a paperberrywhight.

    Borrow a pc from a friend or take the OS, DM and your 8520 to a PC. It takes from 20-60 minutes, you and your friends could catch up.

    I installed the file on a mac just fine whenever it came out... plugged it in and the DM said new update available.....

    Yes it is easy. Visit a friend with a PC running Windows XP or Windows 7.

    if it's an official update for your carrier mac DM will tell you about it. alternatively you can extract the exe on a windows machine, copy the files into the DM folder on your mac and select them to install. running a risk there though.
