Ok, the other night I went to sync my 8830 (Verizon) with the DM for Mac.

DM told me there was an update to my software available. So I went throught the entire process of upgrading my OS and such. Sync went well, excluding all the annoying "resets" it did to my phone.

However, ever since upgrade, my phone makes an ANNOYING "Chirp" on every call even if on Blue tooth. It happens about every 3-5 minutes during the call.

Any ideas what happened? How to correct?

what OS are you running....the chirp is a known issue with .169....but supposed to have been fixed with .175. I do not have the chirp with the hybrid.

Can't remember what version I had before the update, but now I have .175.

Great. so its an issue that has been going on since May '09. I wonder why I only recently got the update pop up on my DM?

Seems it was a Sprint Chirp issue and now its a verizon issue as well.
