Does this fix the battery issue?

Only kidding, I know it would be far too early to tell what the battery life is like! Also know from experience of the last 7.0 leak that what fixes one persons battery life problems wont necessarily fix mine!

I'll hopefully get this installed next week once I get an hour or two to myself!

    Thanks for letting us know...

Anyway, for those of you who are waiting for info on battery life and performance changes due to this OS will have to wait about a week before any viable information come cross here... It takes time for the OS to get normalized when you first install it.

I won't be loading this because I rather have my wifi hotspot on OS 7.1.
That's just a snide comment What 7.1 are you runnin?

Many people, myself included, are not running "the experimental" 7.1

I also have not ventured to 7.1 yet. Just loaded up .585. .540 was really good for battery life for me. I'm just doing this for the team. So far so good.

I don't understand why they're still making OS 7.0 builds... I thought they would jump to only making OS 7.1 builds. Why is RIM working on both OS' at the same time :S

    These are leaks, not official.

It could be these are old OS's that someone got thier hands on and leaked it out even though RIM is working on 7.1.

Just like how 7.1.0.74 is an old OS.

Reports of a higher OS are out there.115 and .3XX, just not leaked.

Yeah you might be right. Maybe they are kinda old but have never been spotted in the wild.

So far this build is awesome. Got way more memory than 7.1 but that is expected. About 10mb more than 7.1.0.74 with all the same apps installed. Sitting at 220mb with BBM 6.1, Facebook, beweather free, poynt, google maps, td bank app, blackberry traffic, appworld 3.1
    - Speed dial still opens phone app before dialing.
    - Boots up in around 1 min

downloaded and installed, everything went smoothly. upgrading from .540

no new features to report. everything is running smoothly and fast.

maybe there is an update for better radio signal strength. i'm getting full bars with .585 right now whereas with .540 it was fluctuating while in the room i'm in. i'll update you all on this as i test it out tomorrow. same goes for battery life.

Well too bad I have a Mac (so no 'leaked' goodness) and my carrier is pathetic when it comes to any mention of when they may release an OS upgrade. I'm sick of this & think its a key issue for Blackberry - eg iOS is not controlled by carriers like Blackberry is grr.
Threads like this are like seeing wrapped Christmas presents that you can't open yet!
