So far I find it a little hinky but not bad over all.

Have only had it running on this OS version for a few hours.

Battery saver is a nice touch. Still looking into the DLNA etc..

Had to reinstall QuickLauch to get its background to show.

XPRSS does not parse/display as smooth nor as quickly. (also did reinstall)

IHeart Radio still works. No real issues with the apps.

Had to upgrade a few items like FaceBook and some other apps. Not a big deal.

Seems to use a little more memory, but will see how it does after a few days and a couple more battery pulls.

    GUI seems a little smoother.

Browser is as good as always, if not a little quicker.

Updated: I do find the speaker phone much louder.

Over all 4 out of 5 stars...so far.

    Upgraded, not a fresh install.

    Tim

I'll be interested in anyone's findings on whether googlemap voice search works and how it is holding memory. The earlier version of 7.1 butchered these and chased me back to 7.0.

Just installed last night before going to bed. Did an upgrade rather than wiping. Too soon to tell anything yet.

In this case, I'm willing to bet that some api's have changed and google hasn't addressed them by releasing an updated version of their software.

EDIT: It was the OS after all! My mistake for thinking RIM wasn't at fault here!

I'll be very interested to hear if the memory leak issues being experienced by many people are altered in any way using this OS version.

Can anyone verify is this fixes the issue with the inability of some 9850/9860 models not being able to charge using a car charger?

    Wondering about suretype.

can you get it to prioritize "be" as opposed to br?

Let me know if you have it installed already but have no idea what I'm talking about.

Downloaded it, but as soon as I plugged in my phone, it said there was an update. Hadn't even extracted the files yet. Oh well. Went with the "official" update and it does include wifi hotspot. However, Verizon wants to get in my pockets to use it. Maybe I'll install the leaked version to try to circumvent them.

I find the easiest way to avoid that is to launch apploader from the folder and skip DM.
