Hey guys, i currently have a Sidekick 3 with T-Mobile and most likely upgrading to a Blackberry Curve 8320 this weekend. I just have a quick question.

If I don't get the data plan will i be able to use Jivetalk for AIM? And if I can will it be free or will it count as sms?

    JiveTalk uses Data, not SMS.

I would still recommend a data plan. I believe only 20 bucks with T-mobile.

Doesn't the SK plan from Danger cost more than the BB unlimited data anyway?

Not really sure, but i think the Sidekick uses the "same" type of setup. i believe the data actually goes through the Danger servers, and the BB plan goes through the RIM servers..

The Sidekick plan is actually $20 for unlimited web/email/text/aim. The BB plan is $20 for data, but an extra $15 if you want unlimited texting (that's what T-Mobile told me).

I'm just so tired of the sidekick, so much money for such a lack of features!

I offered to get my son a sidekick but he wants a blackberry. You think he knows something we don't? (He's ten).
