    hello everyone! I have simple question. I'm not a blackberry user, YET. I'm planning on buying one soon. I'm getting a Curve or Pearl unlocked just bc I don't like 2year contracts. I was wondering what are the ups and downs of having a unlocked blackberry?
    Also, can I update its OS when it's unlocked?
    Please be as specific as possible, thanks!

    Yes you can update the os and you won't lose any function from it being unlocked

    You can use an unlocked bb on any gsm network. Other than that, it will function as any other would.
