I just bought the 8830 and am using it with a MAC. I have several web-based email accounts set up (yahoo, etc.). I would like to be able to just receive them on my computer when I am connected. Is there any way to stop email from being forwarded to the bbery when I am tethered to my computer?

Thanks to everyone for the help.

I'm not sure if you can install Desktop Manager (DM) on a MAC. But, the only way would be to have the BlackBerry connected to Desktop Manager, and in options, check the box that says, "disable message redirection while device is connected"...

    Thanks for the welcome.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that I can use the manager on the MAC. So, looks like I will need to delete the email in both places.

    ...'both places'?

If you have a pop account create in BIS (not forwarding to a BlackBerry device email address), and you delete emails from your device, you can have it delete from your account, too. On the device, go to Messages / Options / Email Reconciliation...

But, not the other way round, UNLESS you're on BES...
