Hello ...

I know I am probably asking the same question as many others in the past but !!

I want to switch form my torch to the new Z10 ... but from what I can tell it doesn't do a direct back up ?

it wont back up all saved emails and text messages as it did with previous Blackberry models as its a different operating system ?

but I would have thought by now they would have overcome this ?

So basically my question is this ?

how do I do a direct device switch form my torch to the new Z10 ? and keep all the saved information and data?

also can you hide pictures yet on the Z!0 as this was a extremely useful function ?

I do thank everyone who helps me in advance and sorry if this is going over old ground ?

You can do a device switch and save everything on a SD card. Load SD card in z and restore. As for emails, they will populate when you set up and add your accounts. As for hiding pictures not that I'm aware of although there are apps available that can help with that.

Also, when I upgraded from my Torch to my Z10, I wasn't able to retain "all" of my data, same with apps when switching from OS 7 to BB10 platform. As stated emails should populate after upgrading and the setup process. Anyway, review the thread and good luck. Again, welcome.
