I'm getting my first berry on Friday, or whenever the Storm comes in. I've been told by our IT person, that once I get on the company's BES, my text messaging will be blocked (much to my wife's dismay). It also sounds like there isnt any way to hack it since its done at the BES.

    However....
Is there a way to create an alternate texting number (short number I think?) that forwards texts to my gmail account and then when I reply, sends the text back to their phones?

    Ideas? Other options?

    Thanks!

Do you really need to be on the companies BES? If you have gotten by without it until now... maybe you dont need it. Perhaps you can use the BIS? Does your comapny have Outlook Web Access? OWA?
