Here's a strange one. I scroll diagonal from the top left of the screen towards the middle and a CPU screen opens on the bottom left showing CPU and various other specs running... is this normal?

If you're running a leak then, yes.
    Just a diagnostics thing.

Just scroll down on the battery icon.

You can switch between cpu, info and back to normal.

I for one think that should be part of the official build.

Agreed. It startled me at first but I can see why it would be good to have

Reminds me of my very first computer: A Commodore 64.

I was 10 (29 years back) and for those who are ... not THAT old ... look at Commodore 64 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to see the wellknown startup screen in blue colors.

I still remember powereing it up for the first time (alone - no parents to help). I moved the cursor around the screen and managed to use spacebar to "overwrite" some of the stars in the second line. I was SO afraid I broke it and managed to type the stars again and powered it off. Later I turned it on and found out it was still OK.

Happy days with 16 colors and 160x200 px resolution. Oh boy did I spend a lot of hours playing games, writing Basic and Comal 80 programs.
I wasn't a great developer so often I went to the library and loaned "BYTE magasine" and carefully wrote programs line by line (involving a lot of POKE command which was a way for BASIC to write data and instructions directly to memeory which later could be executed as a program).

Sorry ... got carried away by memories.
