Hi

I have a Q5 and currently having trouble with it. When I'm talking on the phone, funky numbers start dialing on it. Also it sometimes just hangs up or goes on mute mode. Is it possible it's the latest update doing this. Is anyone else having a similar problem.

any chance its the proximity sensor not picking up your face and your cheek is pushing things on the touch screen.
What update are you referring to? Official or the leak?

I have the official release to 10.2. Then there was a recent update to it that I put in. I thought maybe it was acting up cause I left it in the cold for a few hours. Really not sure here. If it continues I may reset it all.

I would also suggest trying the 10.2.1 OS. It's a leak, but a really great one from what I've heard.

Sounds like the proximity sensor, the thing that detects when the phone is against your face, is having issues. Are the problems still occurring or was it just because of that corrupt data being sent to phones that we heard about a few days ago?

There was a proximity sensor issue not long ago. It was caused by some bogus data thet BlackBerry sent to some phones. Reboot your phone (hold the top buttom untill you see the BlackBerry loading bar again - do not tap reset - just hold the top buttom!
