I've had my BB for about 3 weeks now. I see all these uses with "PINS" in their listings. What exactly is a PIN and what is it used for?? I love this site i have used it as my bible and have already got the hang of a lot of the features.
As well, is there a mobile version of crackberry so i can browse from the BB?? I try now but its way too difficult using the normal webpage..
I like to think of it as your blackberrys ss#. Most people use it just to pin each other in blackberry messenger. You download the crackberry app for your device so its more compact and accessible

Yeah the pin is used for blackberry messenger as stated above. You can add people on bb messenger by their pins and send pictures using data. Its pretty cool!

Oh thank you very much! I guess i dont have much use for BlackBerry Messanger as the only messanger i use is AIM so i downloaded JiveTalk as my messaging client. (and it doesn't hurt JiveTalk is IChat style and i love my mac!) TY tho ALL so helpful!

Where do i find that?? I googled it, i searched under downloads and tools...can't seem to find it. I did seem to find how to put MLB.com on my BB and have my team the red sox on my home page...very cool
Pin... This is a unique identifier that varies from BB to BB, almost like a car's VIN number. You can send text message like messages using PINs or you can add them to BB Messenger and have an instant iChat like program... I love Apple myself, too bad the only one I've owned was the iPhone.
Also type "wap.crackberry.com" without the quotations from you BB browser and scroll to the bottom, "Other shortcyts", you will see "Install Crackberry.com Desktop Shortcut.
I'm the reverse when it comes to IM programs... Not too many people I know have and/or AIM/YIM/Others and have BBs in which I PIN. If you want a BBM friend, check PIN exchange and/or add me: 244D52F0
welcome! remember (i will be the party pooper) you cannot change your pin# so anyone who has it can contact you. Can someone tell me if you can block msgs from certain pin#'s?
