hi all, just came across this this site and i was hoping you could all help with a few questions i have before i purchase my blackberry.
ok here goes ..
1. I want to go with o2 in the uk as my provider, they are providing me with blackberry unlimited for �15 a month because i dont want a voice plan. Does this mean i can use the blackberry messenger in this plan without paying extra?
2. My friend in canada is getting a blackberry and this is the sole reason for me getting one and text messaging is far too expensive. Is it possible to use the blackberry instand messenger to talk to her?

yeah chaz, thats the one i was offered so it is �15 a month, shoul dthat be ok for what im looking for, all i want it for is to use the messenger instead of texting

* surf the full Internet with the BlackBerry browser - supported on all RIM devices and some non RIM manufactured (BlackBerry Connect) devices
* get unlimited use of Yahoo!� Messenger instant messaging
* use O2 Active (WAP) browsing to access games, music, news, sport, entertainment and more.
I think the �15 O2 want for BB is on top of your voice tariff. +you won't get the BB free on that. I recommend what T-Mobile are doing on the 8110 (you might get a 20 in the Carphone Warehouse). With a data plan and BB thing (as long as there's something advertised as BlackBerry in there) you can use BBM free to talk to your friend in Canadia.
