BB is probably the most stable smartphone out there. RIM has 48% of the overall smartphone/PDA market. Pretty amazing if you ask me. Just ask those windows mobile people with all the issues they have.

You will so not be sorry! My journey to the Curve began last month when my company offered gently used BBs to employees for what I thought was a reasonable price. Not sooo! What the BB lottery got me was a 7250 that called people at random even when the keyboard was locked. Just enough to get me hooked on having a Blackberry, not to mention my on-going addiction to Brickbreaker. So 3 days later, I splurged for the Curve. Bought it a case, a screen protector, downloaded a few free games and themes, and waited out the 30 days to see if the Bold and/or Thunder would come out for me to return and trade up. In the meantime, I have spent countless hours 'lurking' on this site, reading the posts, studying BB 101, and patiently waiting for the official 4.5 upgrade to be released from Alltel. I am happy, but my poor dirty house is not!

what is a 4.5 upgrade?? do you have to upgrade your bb?

Don't have to, but operating system 4.5 includes documents to go, so you can work with documents and spreadsheets. that is why I want it!

thankyou! quick question. As far as AIM goes, is it already on the BB or do you have to download it to your phone? and also i see people saying that they are going to upgrade to 4.5 or something like that. What exaclty is that?

4.5 is an os upgrade for some of the older blackberries which has some nice features that people want

for AIM you have to download it and install it (if you have a data plan you can do this all on the device)
but is fully functional once you have done that
