I'm new to BB and this forum. First thing I did was buy a micro sd. I keep reading that sometimes you have to format it first and sometimes you don't. How do you know if you do? (mine's a 2gb by lexar) And if you need to how do you do it? I had to ask because I don't want to mess up my wonderful pearl.


P.s. I have a Mac.

Put it in your BB first, 99% of them don't have to be formatted.

Go to Options > Media Card, and if it recognizes it, you are set to go.

Welcome, and definitely format the card in your phone before you try to put anything on it, that'll set up your default folders for pics and music.

Thanks for your welcomes.. and no I don't have a Moto Q.. but I thought it was cute to use it for question and it rhymed. Yeah... I'm going on NO sleep and I thought it was amusing at the time.

Anyways, I got the card in my phone but had to search on how to put it in.. good thing I didn't break the phone! And there was no need to format. The phone recognized it right away.

Now I just gotta figure out Pocketmac. Disappointed they don't have Desktop Manager for Mac!!
