Just got my new curve from verizon, switched from 4 defective treo 700wx's. I have set up corporate and private email accounts, but all messagesgo to the same incoming message icon. Is there any way to change this so that personal emails and text messages go to the appropriate icon?

Welcome to CB!

In Messages > menu key > Options > General Options > SMS and Email Inboxes > set to Separate

All message will go to the Message Folder and the indiviual Inboxes as well.

ALL messages will go to the "messages" icon, including BES and BIS, and by default SMS and MMS as well.

But ..... you should also have individual icons for each of your BIS mailboxes, and only the emails for those respective addresses should go into those folders.

there is an option to put SMS and MMS into separate folders that you can select.

BUT .... by default, your BES messages will only go into the "messages" folder, and they will be mixed with all other messages as well.

However, there is a solution to this -- a 3rd party app called BES Mailbox will create a icon / folder named BES, and only your BES messages will go into this folder. (Note that BES along with all other will continue to go into the "messages" folder.) You can pruchase BES Mailbox from sites such as Handango, CB, etc.

just wanted to say thanks to all that replied. I have set up the accounts as seperate, but have gotten no new emails in any box but the messages box. Also, how do you really exit an application?

Some applications you can close by pressing the Escape key, but most by pressing the menu key and selecting Close from the popup menu.

There are applications that run in the background, they are BBM, Phone, Browser, Homescreen, and Mail.

You can press the Alt + Escape key to check to see what applications are still running and press and hold the Alt + press the Esc key and scroll with the trackball to the application you want to open and release the Alt key.

Try resending the service books. You will at least get a "Congratulations" confirmation email in each mailbox saying that the service books have been sent. That will let you know they are set up correctly. Do this from the @vzw.blackberry.com BIS webpage.
