I also have a bold 9900, I use it as secondary phone. It replaced my storm 9530. Lol

The Bold 9900 is great. Don't think of it as outdated. Think of it as Old But Gold.

Okay, yeah it's it's outdated. But still an amazing device.

Can't count the number of times it fell off my bed by itself but it proved to be very strong. No issues till I dropped it.

Can't say it could beat my old 9300 in a fair wrestling match, though.

That won't be fair because 9930 is not entirely plastic but 9300 is and the screen of 9930 breaks easily than 9300s

I never understood the differences between the 9900 and the 9930.

9900 is only for GSM while 9930 is for both GSM and CDMA

Well it means 9900 only uses SIM cards of carriers that operate only GSM networks while
9930 uses that of carriers that uses GSM networks as well as fixed lines.

Btw, we have hijacked this thread. Sorry Ops.

It's the types of antennas in the phone. For example, the 9900 works with AT&T's cell towers, but the 9930 is made to work with Verizon's cell towers. Other than that, they are completely identical.
