Hi, im not a blackberry user yet. or a smartphone user for that matter, however I've been looking into getting a BlackBerry Curve 8330. and I came across this site while I was doing some research on the Curve 8330. and was hoping for some feedback on if the Curve is good for a first time user and what not.
Thanks
I can tell you hands down the blackberry curve has not let me down in no kinda way ...
In just about anything/everything you want to do the curve can dish it out .....
and you will be addicted QUICK
welcome to crackberry.com
I can't tell you how much I adore my Curve. It's my third BB (7305 and then a Pearl). This is exactly perfect in every way: great size (I have tiny hands); solid build. Extremely reliable. I've added third-party apps and silly stuff (themes, wallpapers, ringtones) to spice it up. I'd originally intended to upgrade to a Storm, but it's just too big and, quite frankly, I prefer the non-touch keyboard.
I'll consider going to a Niagra if/when it comes out next Spring, but for now, I'm sold on my Curve.
I've only had a Curve 8320 for a month or two and I LOVE it!! The saying, "Always connected" for a blackberry is completely true! This website isn't called CRACKberry.com for no reason! haha
The only thing I don't care for is sometimes it is slow to switch applications but this can be fixed by properly closing applications and thats probably the only thing I don't like about it.
If you're thinking about getting a new blackberry right now, I'm sure you must've heard about the Storm. I will be getting it soon, so I can't give you any thoughts on it but its the latest and greatest! You may want to check that out!
Welcome to CB!

Reason: spelling
This 8330 I'm using to peruse the forums right now - I have to tell ya, it's about as solid a performer as they come.
It was my first pick when I decided to go BlackBerry, couldn't be happier with it for what it does, and for a first-timer, I'd highly recommend it.
I use this little wonder CONSTANTLY - and the battery life is unreal. Charges up quick too.
You'd be doing yourself a service, should you pick one up and revisit the "newbies" section here - a wealth of information that'll have you a pro with your new smartphone in no time.
Try one out in the store of course, but for me - love mine.
The Storm has a lot of issues surrounding it. I'd wait until at LEAST the first couple rounds of software revisions.
The 8900 series will not be coming to VZW anytime soon, so I'm sticking with what I know works well 24-7.

I have had my curve for a few days now and it blows any phone I have ever had out of the water. I don't know why it took me soo long to get on the bb bandwagon

I had my Curve for a year and it was my first BlackBerry. I absolutely loved it and would not use any other phone. It is hands down the best phone I have ever had.
What can I say that hasn't already been said. The Curve is nice and it's size and form is a very sweet package. Go for it, you'll be addicted after your first taste
Don't think twice. The Curve is amazing and so is the Verizon service! I've had mine for two months comming from the LG Chocolate [which is also a great "dumb" phone] and the Curve is a "no brainer".
well i dont have verizon, i have sprint, because where i live the only providers that you get really good service with and works all the time is sprint and all-tell. At&t doesnt work out here even though it works in the town an hour away lol and verizon i dunno
