Just wanted to share news with my fellow Crackberry addicts.

i just moved up from a 9000 to the 9700.

And WOW! I'm impressed, it's only been a couple hours but really happy with the upgrade.

Trackpad rocks, 5.0 is freakin fast.

Good times!! now, time for my first OS update lol and bb-accessorize!!!

Congrats on the new device, I'm another person whom comes from a 9000, I still hold onto my 9000 and do pick it up and use it every now and again, but I do really like the 9700.

Make sure you have the newest update (.330 for T-Mobile USA and .405 for AT&T, I believe Vodafone/Orange and others are in the .42x range, Don't forget a case either. [:

Grats on the 9700! I too came from the 9000, and after a few months the change hasn't been that bad. I still miss the 'Bold' look from the 9700, but the size is definitely no longer an issue!

    Thanks all!

Just unlocked it and updated my BB PIN for the apps (e.g BerryBuzz).

I noticed prior to my first OS update, i couldn't use the browser via Wifi, with the latest official, all good now.

Next up is getting some protection.

But yes, 9000 is gonna get sold, was great, but agreed "are you happy to see me or is that a Bold 9000 in your pocket?" phenoma is over.

    Good times...9700 FTW!

Me too!! Got a 9700 yesterday... Replacing a 3GS after much debating... Deciding to give BB a shot... So far so good... I tried one last week that white screened/crashed twice in the first 5 minutes... Didn't keep it... But this one I got and kept yesterday is solid... No hardware flaws... No software issues/white screens... Loving it so far although quite a learning curve for me having never owned a BB and being an iphone user for last 2.5 years...

Hope it keeps going as well as it has been last 24hrs with my new 9700!

    Cheers

Oh - and UMA kicks ***... Perfect for my office... Where signal sometimes weak in center of building... UMA is so cool - I couldn't believe how smooth and seemless it does handoffs between wifi and cellular!

well... the affair is short lived...

my 9700 crashed/white screened like 4 times in a row last night - p!$$ed me off to no end... not to mention inconsistent Pandora performance (slow, stops out of the blue, etc.)... slooooow google maps (and poor gps performance, even outdoors)... poor exchange intergration with my company email - no calendar sync (since they only give BES access to higher-ups - license cost issue, therefore BIS access only)... and overall slowness/bugginess to what i'm used to (i'm not a BB guy)... so back it goes... UMA i will miss, but that's about it... beautiful screen too...

still in my 14 day trial and it's going back...

    incoming: NexusOne
