I am a new blackberry user and I already enjoy using this phone!
I have a blackberry curve 8320 from t-mobile and I can't figure out how to access AIM. I tired to go to blackberry.com/aim to register it, but for some reason it can't detect the device. However it works when I am on the desktop manger.
Btw, I don't have the blackberry add-ons. So I was wondering could that be the reason why? Or is the AIM on my blackberry faulty?
some data plans include email and BB messenger only. the web portion includes browser and all apps that need to use the browser to work, like IM and weather

Not sure if you have tried this, but I'll start simple.
1. go to menu on BB
2. scroll onto the instant messaging icon and click on it
3. the running yellow man, and the other IM icons, should appear
4. click on the yellow man and sign on
maybe I'm missing something, but it sounds too simple...
The IM programs use data so you'll need to have that enabled on your device, I think the T-Mobile BlackBerry BIS add on is reasonably priced and I consider it to be a must have for my 8320.
