So I got a free 7250 from a friend and activated it with Sprint. I don't have the data plan for now and don't plan on getting it. I want to switch companies and phones when my contract expires in April 09.

I didn't know how the **** to work this thing when I first got it and I noticed some things I didn't like.
I looked into updates first. Downloaded Desktop Manager 4.3.0.17 and updated the operating system to 4.1
I fixed my backlight settings by installing BBLight which was pretty easy to figure out.

    Here are my remaining questions....

    - What is the most recent OS and Desktop Manager my phone can use?
    - Does the latest Desktop Manager version work with my phone?
    - How do I transfer pictures and other data from my computer to my phone?
(I already downloaded Roxio Media Manager and found out it doesn't work with my phone)
    - Is there a forum section for my phone?
    - Is it possible to have non-midi ring tones?
    - Is it possible to get some multimedia software on this phone and play audio video files that I transfer from my computer?

    Thanks in advance...

    Dan

So you can't download applications that play music files? It just seems like with technology now someone would have figured out a way to play music on this phone.

    Welcome to CB!

If your crackberry is like the others, and it has a microSD card, when you plug it in to the pc, it should allow you to go into mass media mode. Then your crackberry would be like any removable USB drive and you can drag and drop files to and from it.
