I am thinking about ordering a Blackberry curve 8320 soon and wondering.. I have free video calling with my existing plan, will I be able to use it and video talk?
Thank you!
Also, I know that the 8320 doesn't come with G3, does that mean that my internet browsing will be a bit slow? I am with Rogers.
your browsing will be on edge which is slower then 3g but is still very much usable
I am not sure if bb's support video calling but someone else feel free to tell me off
Welcome to CB. What exactly is video calling? Is it like video conferencing or talking through a webcam? As far as I can tell Rogers doesn't offer a Curve with video recording so my guess is gonna be no. But you can upgrade the operating system to get video recording capability but I'm still not sure that would enable you to make a video call.
Yes, I am getting the Berry from Ebay and hoping I will be able to do web calls with it once I have the new OS in it.
That is going to cause you problems. I have a T-Mobile 8320 that I use as Wifi Browser and phone backup.
Rogers does not currently offer the 8320, but they will very soon now. The advantage of using the Rogers branded 8320 is UMA access. UMA uses Wifi for phone and data, a big help when you are in a low signal area.
The T-Mobile 8320 does not work correctly with Rogers UMA.
Live video calling is not supported. The fact that the camera lens is on the back while the display is on the front makes in impossible.
