Blackberry IM goes by PIN number not screen name. And you might want to check out the PIN sharing forum http://forums.crackberry.com/f51/ to meet people for chatting. Welcome to CB and have fun

In the application check for user contact info and you'll see your PIN. This is the equivalent of a screen name so you have to give people this number for them to add you to their contact lists.
