I have the tmobile 7290 and earlier today i installed the latest complete software update. After installing, the browser icon is gone and it says it is missing browser configuration files. Any ideas?

Have you done a Battery Pull or Reset your Service Books (Options-->Advanced Options-->Host Routing Table--> click Menu and Register..

If resending service books doesn't help, you could plug your BB into your computer and go to the application loader through your desktop manager and look through the unchecked items. You may see the browser unchecked, then you just check it and continue and it will install the browser for you. This happened to my 8700g when I upgraded it, I hope it works for you!

Thanks guys resending the service books worked. Now if I could just get opera mini to work it just stopped being able to connect today.
