I recently upgraded from a BB Pearl to the 8310 Curve. Actually, I went from the Pearl to the iPhone. I did not like the iPhone at all. It was nice but it did not have alot of the features that I used constantly on my BB Pearl. Anyway, I took it back 9 days into the 2 week trial period and got a Curve. I LOVE IT! It is so good to have Blackberry again!
One thing though...the battery wears down quickly. At night I always plug it into the charger. The Pearl always showed full. This Curve shows less than half a charge towards evening. Any suggestions?
I look forward to meeting you all!
Kelly

Reason: I can't type...lol
Well you could get an extended battery or just watch what applications you leave open that may be running in the background. Make sure you're closing them from the menu and not just hitting the end call button.
About the extended battery? Is there one you recommend?
As far as I know I am closing everthing out. My display is set to 30. I keep it in the holster when I'm not using it. As far as the camera, I have only taken 4 pictures and I save them to the media card. I charged it last night, unplugged it at 4:30AM and right now (12:17pm) it is already on 75%. I've barely used it this morning.
For some reason that battery icon at 20% or less in the evenings makes me nervous...lol My Pearl always had a full charge.
Welcome from a fellow MO resident. I have a Curve also but am not having the same battery problems you are. Perhaps the battery itself is the culprit. You could try exchanging the battery for a new one at the store from which you bought the phone. There's an article in the blog section about the Seido (sp?) extended life batteries I'd recommend you look at as well.
Thanks Jazzee, MikeQuery, Eyonna and cmcdonald for the welcome. NIce to meet you!

Mike you live in one of my favorite shopping areas.
I think I'm going to call the store and talk to the guy that sold me the phone. This just isn't right. After charging all night last night Monday night the battery icon was red when I went to bed last night. Hopefully, they will exchange it. If all else fails I will look at the Seidio.
Where is that? Chesterfield Mall and/or Valley? Galleria?
Actually, when I come in I start at West County Mall (Dove), make my way down Manchester Road, hit Chesterfield Mall and then last stop is Chesterfield Commons.

Shudder I hate Manchester Rd. That's one heck of a shopping day. Since you said West County Mall, I can make an educated guess as to where you got that iPhone.
