I just upgraded from a Motorola Q to a BB Curve (Verizon) yesterday.

With my Q, it was easy to lock the keypad by holding the home button and clicking.

Is there an easy way to lock the keypad on my BB? I assigned lock to the left side function key. I hate wasting the key for that though. Is there an easy way, like alt - L or something to lock the keypad?

Press and hold the rectangular button on top of the BB. It will put the BB into sleep mode and prevent unnecessary button presses and save battery life.

Go into call logs, then options and turn off home screen dialing. Then from your home screen you just need to press the letter "k" and it will lock your keys.

If you put it in sleep mode, will you still receive calls and e-mail?

I kinda like home screen dialing, so I don't think I want to disable that.

Yes, you will still receive calls, messages and alarms while the phone is in standby mode.
