    This is probably a dumb question, but I see people talking about GSM and CDMA a lot, and I have the 9530 Storm, which I know is CDMA, but I would like to know the difference between the two.

    GSM is the world standard using Sim cards while cdma is mainly used in north America.

    That is a very technical question. In basic terms it is the protocol that the carrier uses and how it time slices the bandwidth for all customers using the tower.
