Hope someone can help me out here. I live in the UK and my brother lives in the US. For some reason we can't get each others pins to work to use messenger. Any suggestions?

Do they just say pending? or are they listed as contacts?

Derrj throw your pin up to see if anyone else can reach you or your bothers. Had a problem like this before where the other phone would not receive BB msngr from other carriers until full txt msng was turned on.

Both have to have a data plan. I know that seems really basic but I have a friend with a curve and I could never figure out why I couldn't BBM her. She doesn't have a data plan. No dice.

I just got my first blackberry and I've only just started using this forum so can I ask, what sort of requirements are there to adding people to my blackberry messenger?

is it like twitter where you can add anyone or is it more personal than that?
