I am still new at this and I am trying super hard to keep my obsession w/in budget. Does anyone know if bbm usage counts in your allowed text plan with tmobile? I know that there is the #674# feature to check your usage...but I was hoping bb to bb messages were free somehow

I think BBM works off of your data plan, not your text allotment.

BB Messenger uses data as it goes over the RIM network stuff to communicate.

With t-mo they count bbming as text messages. That's at least what t-mobile told me.

Misinformed representative. The BBM doesn't go through T-mobile so they wouldn't even know if you sent/received one. It goes through RIM's server (BIS or BES)

When you receive a message from BBM you can also find it under you email icon. Messenger uses data not text.
