Hey all, this is my very first post. I just got my T-mobile Blackberry 8820. It said on T-Mobile that it had AIM, MSN, etc... All I can find is the Blackberry Messenger What am I doing wrong? Do I need to download AIM and MSN?

Thanks all in advance. I hope to be using my Blackberry for a very long time. But AIM is a must.

Go to mobile.blackberry.com on your BB, assuming you have a data plan.

You can, but you must have a data plan to use BBM, AIM or MSN. That is at less you plan on using only when on WIFI.

well i talked with tmo and they said they would activate AIM and MSN bandwidth for free but it would count as text. Eitherway, the main problem is I dont have AIM or MSN and cant find a place to download them. If I have to get data I will. But either way I need the apps to you them, lol

See my prior post, mobile.blackberry.com on your BB will let you DL them. Just look around for them, they're there, there's a link that says "Instant Messaging for BlackBerrys.

Yep, that is pretty well a given if you intend to use any of the communications or third party applications.

oh and to finish the last q up. After 30 minutes with tmo, I have to activate the data plan then the "hidden" AIM and MSN will show up. Apprently they dont come up unless you have a data plan.
