If you are running OS 4.5 or higher it will read all 8 gig, if you aren't running 4.5 it will only read 4 gig till you upgrade to 4.5 or higher. I would buy the 8 gig anyway.

You might have been thinking the 16GB card will only run on OS 4.5. Just wanted to further clarify for those you might enjoy more storage capability. I purchased the 16GB card for $50 on ebay.

I was looking to get an 8gb card for my curve. But depending on the OS version, it can hold more?

I just got my Curve from Verizon a little over a week ago and it has 4.5 on it. Will it hold a 16gb card?

I wasn't aware that OS 4.5 could read 16GB. I read that it only supported 8GB, which is why I bought an 8GB card.

It's SANDISK not SCANDISK, by the way. I just ordered a Sandisk 8GB for $15 from Amazon for my 8800. I'm only running 4.2.1.79 so I am going to upgrade when I get the card if it doesn't read all 8GB or 7.whatever with the partition on the card.

Hey Guys Am Running On Os 4.5.0.77 And The Guys At Bestbuy Told Me That The 16gb Would Not Work On My Bb Curve 8330 Only The 8gb And So Far So Good Even After Looking Up The Info, So Far I Can Put Like 3-4 Movies, Lots Of Pics And Music And Still Have Like Almost 4gb Left On It. And When I First Put My 8gb Card In My Bb And After I Formated It It Read Like 7.3gb I Think They Take A Little Space After U Format It But It Works Great. Thanks For The Info Guys.
