Unfortunately OS6.0 will not work on the 8520/8530. So the install wouldn't work. :/

There are some hybrids that are running some of the OS6 files. But the whole user interface style hybrid will most likely never come to our devices. You need much more Memory and Storage Space to run OS6 than what the 8530/20's have.

Hybrids with OS6 files don't really do anything...

They are running newer java files, but that doesn't generally change the functionality of anything, at all.

You are right to an extent, whereas it is true that there are "OS 6 hybrids" but they only include a couple OS 6 files, but don't provide any OS 6 visual differences. Quite useless, to be honest.

There a theme in the crackberry theme forums. I forget the exact name but you'll see BB6 in the title. There is both 4.6 and 5.0 in there. Check it out.

i believe he's talking about a theme that mimics os6. not that theme in the 8530 thread. that theme in that thread is basically a zen type theme with os6 icons.

    DreamTorch by Lyon

This theme is exactly like OS6 except without the unique OS6 apps (ei. Webkit browser, Social Feed) its 5.99 but its definitely worth it. I was told about this theme and was completely satisfied. It supports all the OS 5.0 and OS4.7 running devices and I guarantee u won't be disappointed. But one thing to keep in mind the OS6 transitions on this theme will only work on OS5 but not OS4.7. Just so u won't be surprised when u discover this.

That DreamTorch is pretty nice, but $6 is a little much for any theme, in my opionion. If you don't want to spend that much check out Five point Nine, by WDJ Design, I've been using it on my 8900 and it's really solid. You can also go to retailmenot(dot)com and get a 10% off code.
