What you did to fix the issue would be nice for others who are encountering the issue to do as well.

    Just my two cents

why start a thread with a title like this w/o giving everyone how you got it to work?? Useless otherwise, IMO.

    sorry cable internet went out

1 make a backup of data with D.M
2 must have 103/106 installed on computer and phone
3 go to program files common files rim etc java for 103/106 and delete mms.cod
4 plug in phone and run loader it will remove mms from phone, phone will restart
with an error thats ok just leave it sit that way and up plug from usb
5 install .86 on computer ONLY then go to program files etc java for .86 and copy mms.cod form .86 java to 103/106 java
    6 uninstall .86
7 plug phone back in run loader phone will update and install that mms.cod and restart.
8 after phone restarts go to D.M and restore backup then send host routing table
9 pull battery put battery back phone restarts
9 mms will send with pictures or forward old mms with pictures

    worked for me

    good luck

You could also just copy the .86 mms.cod file into the latest java directory... then you'll be prompted to "downgrade" the mms file... much simpler...

What you mean doesn't work that way? That's how you force ANY downgrade...

but i was under the impression that .86 too had MMS Pic/jpg forwarding/attaching issues. Last i remember? .85 was the last build for me where MMS worked properly (no gray/blue/random color box) when trying to add a pic to a MMS directly from a web site (and in some cases from the mem card).

    nevermind. found it.

EDIT: Tried this work around (swapping mms.cod from .86 to the .103/106 hybrid) works like a charm. Thanks. Should have figured it was as easy as that.

    please hehe..

And is there anyway to force this mms.cod to the phone without wiping the device??? Can an .alx file be made to force the loader to load this file by itself? i'm currently downloading the .86 and will attach the mms.cod once its down. I guess i can try the .alx. whats the worse that can happen, it doesn't work?

I'm sure you could do this with crackutility and simply delete the mms.cod file and then reload the .86 one. This way the whole os doesn't have to reload.

well making an alx didn't work. lol DM will recognize it and show it as a downgrade, but won't go through the process.. And apploader glitches when opening the alx then says nothing for your device.. ugg.. don't want to go through full wipe again lol

anyone confirm if this works with crackutil?

And this should work with .103 or .99, just like the .90 radio works with all current leaked released of the OS

Yep, just confirmed it's working fine after using crackutility to delete the old version, then install the new one. Worked like a charm. Thanks to the OP for giving us this solution!

    UPDATE

I didn't have to reinstall the OS, I put the same MMS file back and it worked, reset all my settings like hidden icons and wallpaper.

I couldn't install the .86 MMS file with crackutil, something about the loader.exe some error. Not sure why, but at least I didn't brick the phone or have to reinstall the OS.

Got the same error. I ended up putting the .86 mms.cod file into the c:\program files\cracktutility directory and loaded back and it worked fine without the error, assuming the utility can't import a file outside of it's own install directory.

Also someone mentioned that they had to reset their settings, my wallpaper and theme settings went back to default but I just changed them and all is working fine.
