I'm one of the guys waiting on the new BB Tour.
I've always bought on 2 year contracts, but with new phones coming out so fast, I was thinking of maybe going with just a 1 year contract being that it's only $100 more or so for the phone on a one year vs. two.
    Any thoughts?

I think people who want new phones all the time, should get phones with a 1-year or no contract. With a one year contract, you can upgrade every month and still pay less then retail.

I just go with the 2-year. You get a better deal on the phone and you can upgrade every year if you pay over a certain amount every month anyway. And if you have a smartphone you will be paying that amount.

I get a 2 year contract on my line, as it is the primary line and I get an upgrade yearly. My 4 other lines are on 1 year contracts. Over time it saves me money on insurance and deductibles as the phones can be replaced every 10 months if the kids break the phone, they just have to go to our old backup phones.
