I got it too. Performed the upgrade and it went well. No problems. I wonder what the changes are?

So were there any noticeable changes or differences with this update, or was it basically transparent?

175 has spawned a few threads on CB Forums. Seems the biggest issues are:

ringer profiles get "wonky" sometimes, though I've not had this problem.
    battery life is shorter
BB browser runs smoother, loads faster.
Signal is (supposedly) more stable. I have yet to see a stable signal on my BB.

And with my Bluetooth enabled, the signal/reception is even worse.

Did you ask them to push this upgrade? I still have 4.3 and nothing new has been pushed to my phone that I know of. Are there any real benefits to the new OS?

It came automatically. I got it during the evening a few nights ago. The update icon appeared on my screen w/ a red "x" on it. I clicked on the icon and the update began.

The update appeared minor 4. whatever so I did it but haven't looked into it. I did not request it came on its own. All my stuff runs the same but the Web Browser seems to have a little extra kick. The browser still doesn't compare to Bolt though.

4.3 didn't have the Wireless Update option. You would have to update manually, first, to get ponr.

.175 gives my e-model a stronger signal, plus eliminates 'chasing the post box' on WAP.

Quick question. My blackberry OS is updating at this very moment. I noticed that it said that I will have to activate wireless to ensure to receive emails and few other things. I have never used this function, can someone talk me through it. It is a 8330 from Alltel, which is now Verizon if that makes a difference. I do have a wireless network at home. Thanks
