If it's true that there is only a GSM Passport then I assume it won't be on Sprint?

I think the only reason ATT can claim exclusivity is that the other passed on it for now and in best case scenario are looking how the phone gets received. Tbh Blackberry's don't sell that much anymore in the US due a combi of reps pushing ios or android/bad marketing and a false perception of what current bb's can do.

Well if BlackBerry builds the phones to not work on Sprint (or Verizon?) there's not much that can be done. Not sure why BlackBerry did this, or why the phones on ShopBlackberry are always only GSM models, but it's frustrating.

I agree that it's very frustrating. One would think how Blackberry was trying to become a contender in the market again, why they wouldn't release the Passport on as many carriers as possible? I've waited for the Z10 - Sprint didn't carry it. Then the Z30 - again, they didn't carry it. Now the Passport, same thing. I think it's time to leave Sprint!

It could easily be (and maybe even likely) that Sprint just wants nothing to do with these devices. Not really sure who's more to blame. Maybe BlackBerry never really approached Sprint. I'm sure there are stories floating around on this forum.

I'm so freakin pissed. Hopefully Sprint is paying attention to all of the hype and get on board with this.

Be aware that just because shopblackberry or carphonewarhouse only offer GSM versions it does not necessarily mean that VZW and Sprint are out of the running for carrying the Passport or Classic. This was the similar situation last year when the Q10 and Z30 were released.

That's true. When I bought my Q I had originally planned to get it on shopblackberry unlocked (I think they were $299) but they only offered GSM. Same with the ones on Groupon which were $249 I think.

I'm either gonna buy it outright or head to ATT. Anyone know if it will work on the Sprint network if I buy it outright?

Also, I have concerns on how long it will take Sprint to push 10.3.1 to their BlackBerry devices, if they even do it at all.

Yes, the 10.3 leak works fine, but I'm talking about the official 10.3.1 because until then, BlackBerry Blend is a no go.
