Does anyone know if the Classic on Verizon will be available from Blackberry or just through Verizon?

When I have asked the reps in my local store about the Classic, they have been in the dark. The telephone reps know more. Not sure if this means anything but could be an indication the new devices will only be available by phone and web. There are no other BBs on display in my local store.

Unlikely, as there is not a precedent. Verizon being the exclusive seller might one of the main reasons they sell BlackBerry.

My thought is it would be a stupid move for both BlackBerry and Verizon to be online and over the phone only. That said, that's how the Z30 was. Hope they display and sell the Classic in multiple colors in store and draw some attention.

Verizon is now confirming that the Classic will be available February 26th in stores, online, and over the phone. Customer Service has gone as far as saying they will launch in Black only and follow up with other colors.

I guess you never can assume, that said if they are giving the thumbs up to The Classic on the 26th with 10.3.1 I don't see why they wouldn't be ready to roll the OS out to other devices at that time.

Just stopped by my local AT&T store to check out the Classic. Store probably had 15-20 customers inside, not a single one checking out the Passport or Classic displays.

I haven't really handled a BB10 device for any extended period of time, but I gave the Classic about a 20 minute "trial" and came away very impressed. An overwhelming feeling of nostalgia came over me as I tapped the keys and composed a few short messages.

I cannot wait for this phone to get released!!

They've done it before. I believe Verizon didn't update the OS on the Z10 for a long time that was approved on I think the Q10.

That's why I said, "You never can assume"...don't be that person who needs to argue with an OPINION. I made it clear it was just a thought. Relax...it will be out when it's out.

It seems like the z10 and q10 got updates quite awhile before the z30 does.
