Not sure this has been posted - searched quickly and didn't see anything.

So this is pretty cool... WiFi calling on my Verizon Z30 and Z10. Seems to be working.

How did you get this since Verizon says my z10 is incompatible

You should probably check your email the Prince of Nigeria has been trying to get a hold of you.

But nothing on my Classic, did you download it from BBWorld?

I have a T Mobile account and a Verizon account. Installed 2813 which has WiFi calling enabled for TMobile.

When I put my t mobile SIM card in my Z10, WiFi calling automatically appeared. I thought nothing of it because I expected it would work based on the forums.

I then had to do an autoloader install in my z30 due to systemapps errors when trying to run any Android apps. I was expecting some calls so I put my VZ SIM card in the Z10 while I reinstalled. To my surprise, when I rebooted WiFi calling was still there on the Z10.

Then during setup after the OS install on the Z30, I put the TMobile SIM in. Sure enough WiFi calling automatically popped up. I then decided to test if I could duplicate what happened with the Z10. I put the VZ SIM back in, rebooted, and, just like the Z10, WiFi calling still there.

I now can switch SIMs between Zs, between TMOBILE and Verizon and WiFi calling stays no matter which SIM or how many times I reboot.

Another screen shot showing network setup with WiFi calling icon still there.

Well, that is definitely the t-mo WFC symbol. The SYMBOL may remain when you put your VZ Sim back in but can't work. I read that the VZ version is only (currently) working on a couple of Samsungs. AT&T only works on iPhone and, as I am told, only works domestically. Unlike T-mo's version which works anywhere.

That's not WiFi calling, on Verizon that's the symbol for when your are connected to a nearby Verizon Network Extender.

You are right, I stand corrected. I forgot it was a house with WiFi bars; it's been a long time since I've seen it on my BB.

I like your theory. Should be easily confirmed when the OP tries to place a call with Verizon service active on the phone.

But it's still weird though, that the symbol stays there. Splash screens change when SIM cards are changed...

My splash screen has never changed... I've never seen the TMobile screen on my Z10 or Z30. Big Red screen regardless of SIM. I'll check the 10 again when I get home.

Tested... no splash screen! BlackBerry start up animation and then on... no Verizon screen, no TMobile screen.

Maybe it's because the WFC symbol is just an off/on app. Just sitting there.... waiting for a T-Mo connection.
