Rogers and T-Mobile seem to be the only NA carriers that leveraged UMA, likely because they both have small coverage areas. Now on 10.2, T-Mo is getting Wifi calling back. Does anyone know if this works on the rogers network?

I tried installing the T-Mo bar for on Rogers, and the install failed immediately. So in summary, nope it doesn't work. I am also curious on how to enable the WiFi calling on Rogers.

You need to enable the feature in the myRogers online. It is a calling feature and maybe under talk more for less.

It is handy to have when you need coverage in a poor coverage area. For example, last year with the 9900, I would enable it when at the cottage, which had poor cellular coverage but 20mbit internet. The cellular coverage is good at the cottage this year, so I haven't bothered testing it on the Q10.

I've never paid for it. I had UMA on my 8900 with Rogers. When I got my 9900, UMA was missing, and calls to Rogers said it would be coming soon. Once I got the updated OS it still didn't work until I called and talked/yelled at them for a while. It was a feature of the phone and was part of my original reason for buying the thing in the first place (poor cell signal at home). They turned it on for free and I've been fine ever since. Having said that, what Rogers has on the 9900 is not UMA, it's WiFi calling. UMA hands off the call if you go out of WiFi range, and transfers the call to WiFi when you get a good WiFi signal. It worked flawlessly on my 8900. WiFi calling beeps when you wander out of WiFi range (my driveway) and then drops the call. It doesn't transfer the call to WiFi when the reverse is true. It's good but it's not UMA.
