whats the best current monthly plan that most of the community uses with your blackberry devices on Verizon? Thinking about switching from Tmobile

Hi. I think it will be hard to tell. Most of us have more than one device on VZW service I would think. You might do better by calling and asking VZW yourself.

I pay 230 a month but I have a family share unlimited plan for unlimited calling and texts...and we have a Samsung Stratosphere, a Motorola zyboard tablet, an iPhone 5 and my Z10 on the service. Plus I have the NFL mobile service each month as well.

I pay $40 (lowest phone option ) + $30 (unlimited data plan) + $6 (250 texts). This has been about the lowest way to run a smart phone with any decent amount of texting since the introduction of smart phone plans. Then, last year, Verizon raised the price and capped the data. Now, for a single user the minimum per month to get any smart phone is $80, but with only 500MB data.

If you're switching over, you have little choice. You must accept their new, higher priced, metered data plan, that for single users, would start at $80/month with 500mb data cap. The best plan is simply the one that works for the number of users you want to pool together and the amount of data you want to split.. It's really not until you reach 3 users on the same plan that you see any price savings compared to the old plan prices, unless you can squeeze into the 500mb plan for 2 phones.

Now, they do have pre-paid plans, that seem to be actually a better deal for individuals. I'm seeing $60 or $70/month on their web site. Not sure what the drawback to prepaid actually is other than no subsidy on your phone purchase price (since you don't commit to a contract of 2 years)

Call and ask a customer service rep for their $60 smartphone plan - it has unlimited talk & text with 2GB of data. Originally added to their plans as a save/loyalty option, it's not available on the website but any rep has the ability to give it to you.

Using their prepaid service would only give you 3G speeds so I don't recommend it.

Thanks everyone for your feedback, WWblondiedo do you know if this plan is currently still offered. I call twice and the customer service reps acted like they ever heard of that plan. And of course they wanted to push their normal shared plan with the $40 smartphone access fee.

Unless something changed in the past two weeks, they should still be able to give it to you. The bad thing about Verizon Customer Service is that with certain things (such as this plan), offering/applying it is really up to the discretion of the rep and their supervisor so if the SUP has told the reps they can't use it unless ABSOLUTELY necessary for a save/in certain situations only OR if the rep doesn't feel like offering it, you've just gotta call back and hope you get a knowledgeable rep who actually wants to be nice and help you out...

I mean, it is always possible that they changed the policy in the past two weeks and took that plan away but I doubt it...I know FOR SURE that it was available as of 9/9...

Reading the comments here, I thought I was paying a lot. I'm in Canada, which is known for some of the most expensive contracts worlwide. And I'm paying $55/month, $350 upfront for my Q10.

My wife and I together pay $140 for Unlimited Talk and Text, and 2GB Shared Data with Verizon. So, it's $70 per person.

We have one smartphone each and are generally on Wifi at home. Oh, and my Q10 cost $199 with the plan 4.5 months ago.
