Hi!
I am currently on a regular bell plan and have 8 months left. I do not want to resign a contract, so I am looking for an unlocked blackberry to use and then just upgrade my plan to data for the 8 months and then go month by month.
Does anyone know what phones can be used on the bell network, if someone was willing to give me a list, I would greatly appreciate it. I am preferably looking for one with a sim card, and one that i could use overseas, as I do travel.
Also I do not know where to look for unlocked phones, I have looked on ebay, but worried about how they are. Is there anything i should watch out for?

There are only 2 which would work on Bell's HSPA network.
BlackBerry Bold (9000)
BlackBerry Bold2 (9700)

I am using a BlackBerry Bold on Bell and no problems actually been pretty happy.

what about the blackberry storm?? They sell this on the bell webpage....will this one work on the HSPA, or is that just CDMA

Storm and Storm 2 will not run on the HSPA network in canada. The storm 2 only has frequencies for HSPA in europe.

blackberry shows hsdpa, will this work at that crazy 21mbit (i know that's not real world) network they have in philly? so hsdpa means it supports hspa+ ?

the Storm2 WILL WORK on bells HSPA+ network!! But not the Storm1

CURRENTLY:
Only the BOLD 9000 and BOLD 9700 will run on Bell's HSPA
8130, 8230, 8330, 8530, 8830, 9530 and 9630 all run on CDMA

As for Storm 2, if they release 9550 it will be CDMA. If they release 9520 it will be HSPA

A good tip to go by.
If it ends in 00 it's GSM or HSPA and it's initial version and usually has GPS & WiFi
If it ends in 10 it's GSM or HSPA and it has GPS but not WiFi
If it ends in 20 it's GSM or HSPA and it has WiFi but not GPS
If it ends in 30 it's CDMA and usually has GPS but not WiFi
If it ends in 50 it's CDMA and usually has both GPS and WiFi and is usually a second version of something, it Storm 2.

So would this mean that a Curve 8310 will not work on bell? I got one for xmas, but I HUPd with rogers to the 9700 for free. So I was wondering if my GF would be able to use it with bell?
