So, I live in a small-ish city in Ontario, Canada and I went to the mall to upgrade to a new Z10. There are multiple cell phone stores and not one had a Rogers Z10. The local Future Shop didn't have one. Best Buy had to ship their last one from a store in Ottawa.

My question is, how does BB expect to make money when the carriers have zero stock?

Their focusing in enterprise mostly for now, and hopefully trying to rebuild their brand. Once that's done, they'll be able to sell their excellent OS like crazy

OP. Did they have any Z30's? I know you said you wanted a Z10. I upgraded from a Z10. The 30 is a fabulous mobile especially with the leaked OS.

I'm on Rogers and they only allow you to get one on special order. They don't stock them n stores.

I would have loved one, but it was out of my price range.

Best Buy is havng a Z shipped from another store though, so all's well that ends well. I was just surprised with the lack of stock.

There are probably quite a few stores that aren't restocking BB10 phones when they sell out. Blackberry should start selling them unlocked from their website, as they shift away from consumer sales channels over to corporate sales. Every time someone can't find the phones in a carriers store, the 'going out of business ' comments keep on getting repeated, which isn't going to help the company.

Stores don't stock them. BlackBerry never effectively advertised them. Rep's say they are dead or going out of business because they can't sell them to you even if they wanted to and will try to get you to buy something they will get commission off of.

In my Canadian town of about 100k people lots of stores carry all models of the BB10 series. Depending on what store you go to, some reps do indeed like selling these mobiles.

Z10's are scarce here too. Because they've been sold out. Not because carriers don't want to sell them.

Had no trouble finding Z10's, Q10's and Q5's in Edmonton. The Z30 was a bit of a hunt but found one at a Bell store eventually. Most difficult to locate is a Z30 case.

Just got off the phone with a Rogers store. They admitted that they tell people NOT to buy BlackBerry. He said they tell them that Android is a better choice.

His reasons were that BlackBerry had a high return rate and software ware not that good.

The only positive thing he had to say was that the Z30 is a good phone with no customer complaints.

So basically he's got no idea what hes talking about. Because he doesn't mention BB10 at all it seems, is what you suggest.

He says the Z10 and q10 have high returns. Z30 is good.
He was saying that Z10 Nd Q10 mess up contacts and appointments but the Z30 work better.

He obviously doesn't know that they are all running the same software

I bought it at the store and schooled him on how to use it..

Funny how long they don't know about the functions of bb10.

I really think that BlackBerry should do what real estate companies do. Pay for a 1 week cruise vacation to its top sellers. Then you will see them push the product fast

Most stores do not advertise the blackberry or have much of a selection on hand or display. I find this frustrating. I think that suppliers are iPhone and Samsung brainwashed and channeling everyone to buy these phones. I also think blackberry could do a hell of a better job of promoting their products.
