    Hi,

I have a BB 8900 with data plan.

When checking my data usage on my ATT paper bill or online, it shows data being "sent" from my device every single night, usually between the hours of 2AM-3AM. And the amount of data varies but its always at least .5 MB, up to 1MB, which is quite a lot.

    Here is a good example:

    01/01 02:26 AM blackberry.net Internet/MEdia Net Sent 968KB

    12/31 02:26 AM blackberry.net Internet/MEdia Net Sent 936KB

    12/30 02:26 AM blackberry.net Internet/MEdia Net Sent 767KB

    12/29 02:26 AM blackberry.net Internet/MEdia Net Sent 283KB

Does anyone know what this is caused by?

    Thanks,

    R-

Do you leave any applications running in the background? I highly suggest going into your Options screen for the Clock application and setting up Bedside Mode so that it turns off Radio when enabled. Then, right before bed, Enter Bedside Mode and you'll be saved from unwanted data transfer.

    Just a suggestion...

New to BB...and yeah...I just saw I have a bunch of apps running. Quite a lot. This might be doing it.

On ATT bills is all data, regardless of source, reported as coming through "blackberry.net'?

You'll see blackberry.net and wapcingular. It doesn't matter. The data is unlimited.

Especially with a BB, you'll be running data all the time. Push e-mail will constantly be monitoring the connection with your e-mail, 3rd party apps are syncing, and the list goes on. Thankfully, it's unlimited data. Think if you had to pay per KB.
