I'm currently living in Cape Town, South Africa operating my phone on a Vodacom Pre-Paid Airtime and BB Data SIM card. I"m originally from the States and am used to my Verizon Service which I've found to be Very consistent and reliable however here I've found that my service goes in and out without any obvious reason... one minute I'll have a strong signal the next Zip.
I'm wondering if it's because I need to update the roaming capabilities on my Storm since I've switched out the SIM Card from a Verizon Card to a Vodacom Card. With Verizon I could do this by dialing *228 ...
Does anyone know of a service number I should call to refine my service availability while in Cape Town with Vodacom? And/Or does anyone have any tips in General about using my BB on the South African Vodacom network?
    Thanks So Much!!!

Hi! I'm not quite sure about the roaming service, but if you can use the vodacom sim card, I don't think you need it.

It could be the area that you're in that has a bad signal, or it could just be Vodacom's crappy service... To be honest, I've lost signal a few times, not too many for it to really be a problem, but it's still annoying when it happens nonetheless.

To find out about the service you can call their Data Line by dialling 155. Hope this helps!
