Hello I'm in southwest Florida on Verizon with a Z10 showing LTE on my phone and my download speeds are pretty bad. I'm getting an average of 4.3 mb down after checking it a few times a day over 4 days. Is this normal for Verizon or could it be my phone?

I hope it isn't because vzw LTE speeds just suck. I'm thinking of moving to them.

In NY, I got 8 mb/s. It says LTE with only 2 bars.

Of course, I'm in long island right now, about 40 minutes away from Manhattan.

When I'm in the city, I can tell the speed difference is phenomenal.

Sounds like you have a better ATT signal than Verizon. I think ATT is faster in areas where it has good coverage, but Verizon has much better national coverage of LTE. You should be getting much faster speeds on Verizon than that, though. I usually get around 10.

I usually get between 10 to 13 on Verizon LTE here in Southern New Jersey.

Not sure if those are just Verizon LTE Speeds but here are my results with Rogers LTE. Are any of the other US carriers in this range?

I'm sure there are some. A lot of it depends on the data link the carriers hook the towers up with. Out where I'm at is farmland, so there isn't a need to have a 100mbps connection. I'd venture a guess the more urban areas would have faster speeds.

Wow I've never seen speeds like these ever, not since LTE was introduced, not since it's been upgraded, and never even on my home or work hard wired lines. That's unbelievable, are those Verizon LTE Network speeds?

I'm thinking of moving to Verizon. I was worried the speeds would be slow but looks like in some spots they are blazing fast. I think my area should get aws upgrades soon so that should fix any capacity issues. I've heard where people are getting 80 down after aws.

I'll gladly take those speeds here if only the darn companies would actually stop ripping off the customers and invest on their infrastructure to get the most out of the spectrum that they hold so tightly between their **** cheeks.

Rogers should come to the U.S with those speeds. I would happily switch to their network

That was in Lincoln. My higher one I posted later was in Havana. Springfield has similar speeds. I've noticed the tower that covers East Peoria is flakey. I think it may have some heavy users on it or something.

For some balance, and to not get expectations up... this is Verizon "LTE" in the NY Metro area (south Westchester County). This is not atypical. Highest I've ever gotten around NYC is about 6 Mbps.
